Scenic Nevada has selected winning photographs in their 2011 Photo Contest "Beauty or Blight" for Nevada High School Students and Adults. The purpose of the Scenic Nevada 2011 "Photo Contest" for high school students and adults is to create an awareness of the importance of preserving, protecting and enhancing the scenic character of Nevada.
Judges of over 900 individual photographs, an increase of 97 over last year, from throughout Nevada were: Penny Roskoski, Chairperson; Bob Goodman; Photographer; Marilyn Melton, Artist; Neal Cobb, Reno Historian; Marilyn Newton, Professional Photographer; and Jim McCormick, Professor of Art Emeritus.
Scenic Nevada winners of the overall “Grand Prize” in the “Beauty” category and the Grand Prize in the” Blight” category respectively were:

- Grand Prize Beauty to Jordann Sutton, Arbor View High School, Las Vegas, NV, 10th grade, Teacher: Mrs. Ziegler
