In November 2008, Scenic Nevada opened their Scenic Nevada Art Gallery, a partnership with some of Nevada's finest "Quickdraw"
artists. The Scenic Nevada "Quickdraw Art Auction and BBq is an annual fundraiser with more than 30 Nevada artists painting "en plein air (aka outdoors), followed by an art auction of their donated work. This annual event has raised several thousands of dollars and is a natural collaboration between artists and organization.
BIOS OF CONTRIBUTING ARTISTS:
AL FERRAND A realist painter, bringing the viewer closer to the natural beauty of our world, proving that life is not hinged upon negativity, but on love and beauty. His paintings are rendered in oil, watercolor, pastel, & acrylic. He enjoys painting "en plein air" Nevada and California landscapes. One of his favorite locations is on the Truckee River of which he has completed a series of twenty-eight paintings. "It's a wonderful experience to create a piece of art that captures the heart of others".

CAROL GRIGUS: "Anyone who has ever walked through a forest especially in the Winter has felt its beauty, dignity and monumentality. Painting is my way of preserving that experience and sharing it with others. It is my poetry and 'true north'." Grigus has a B.F.A in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois with continued studies at the Chicago Art Institute and the American Academy of Art, Chicago, IL. LYNNE KISTLER: "I enjoy translating the colors of life into my art; nature is a constant source of inspiration." A fifth generation Nevadan who holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in A Education from UNR. She has 30 years experience teaching in Nevada high schools. "Jawbidge Canon Packer" by Lynne Kistler
PATTY ATCHESON MELTON: is producing a couple of series "I love Nevada" and "Off Nevada Roads". Primarily a watercolor portrait artist and owner of Wow! Design Marketing, she continues to diversify her artistic style with acrylics and oils.
